Convenience is the mother of all inventions, and though the subject in question today is not as serious. Facebook has finally come up with a way to counter the rather unused Facebook stories. They are planning to turn around the situation by making cross-posting available from Instagram stories.
“You now have the option to share your Instagram Stories to your Facebook Stories. We’re always working to make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you” a Facebook spokesperson told TechCrunch. Although Facebook has confirmed that the opposite is not possible yet, the idea is still on the table.
TechCrunch had earlier spotted the option to syndicate Instagram Stories to Facebook Stories for US customers. Facebook has, however, confirmed this feature now and has said that it will be officially rolling out for everyone soon. The only exception is that this feature will not be available to businesses, as they are not allowed on Facebook Stories yet.
Facebook is banking highly on the Stories and they believe that this move might just solve their problems. These Instagram stories apparently do better than most other posts, due to their use of augmented reality camera effects.
This update would be highly beneficial because this will bring down the time spent on posting each story on both the places. Stories are supposed to be shot in the moment and lose value when taken again for the purpose of putting up the same image or video on Facebook, or vice versa.
