Samsung begins shipping Galaxy Note 8 in India
Samsung after launching its Galaxy Note 8 globally last month and earlier this month in India has finally made the flagship phablet available for users. The device has gone for sales as it is shipping to those who pre-ordered it before.
Interested customers have two options from where they can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 – Amazon India or Samsung’s own online store.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 costs Rs 67,900 and is only available in one storage variant – 64GB. The early adopters also get a free wireless charger bundled with the Galaxy Note 8. They will also get one-time screen replacement.
Samsung is also giving users up to 48GB Reliance Jio 4G data with the Galaxy Note 8 and up to Rs 4000 off for those purchasing with the HDFC credit card. There is an exchange program as well wherein customers can exchange their old Galaxy smartphones to get additional discounts on the new ones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specifications
Running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, the Galaxy Note 8 sports a 6.3-inch QHD+ (2960×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED ‘Infinity Display’ and is powered by an octa-core Exynos 8895 SoC, clubbed with 6GB RAM. It comes with 64GB inbuilt storage, along with an option to insert a microSD card that can support up to 256GB space.
There’s a dual rear camera setup onboard as well. There is a wide angle 12MP dual Pixel autofocus camera with F/1.7 aperture and OIS, along with a telephoto 12MP camera with F/2.4 aperture and OIS. At the front, there is an 8MP camera.
Backed by a 3300mAh battery, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with features such as Iris scanner, fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.
